We're honored that FHLI's President and CEO, Rachel Keever, MD CPE FACC, has been appointed to serve on North Carolina's new Health Care Affordability Commission, established by Governor Josh Stein through Executive Order 39 this week.

The Commission will help shape recommendations to expand access to affordable health care. This work aligns with FHLI’s mission to help create the conditions of health so all North Carolinians can flourish.

FHLI is currently recruiting for our 2026–2028 class of Jim Bernstein Community Health Leadership Fellows. The program helps prepare future leaders to work in and improve the health status of rural and underserved communities in North Carolina.
