Angels Landing - this adrenaline-pumping trail is one of the most popular hikes in Zion National Park. It involves scaling a steep ridge high above the valley floor and scrambling up the mountainside while gripping a chain.
Two switchbacks before reaching the Scout Point, then the final climb with the chain. There’s a long line for the final climb. We decided it’s not worth extra two hours of our time (mostly waiting in line) and we headed back down like most of the people. The best part of this hike is going down with speed and ease while looking at the breathtaking views and knowing that the hardest part is done. Definitely start early in the morning before the sun hits the trail and the temperature becomes unbearable (in the upper 90s).

Sticky Jamaican Ginger Cake, made with homemade stem ginger. Patience required, as it takes 24 hours to age in order to develop flavor. I can’t wait till tomorrow to try this sweet, spicy and moist cake. I hope my kids would be happy to find a slice of this in their lunch boxes.
