When we have to *ask* whether our youth are worth investing in, it highlights a bigger issue: a lack of consistent, visible support for kids in this community.

Fortunately for our youth, there are private organizations, coaches, parents, and volunteers who step up to provide opportunities, structure, mentorship, and safe outlets. Without them, many kids simply wouldn’t have access to the experiences that help them grow into confident, capable adults.

Here’s the part that often gets missed:

Supporting youth is not a “cost” to a town...

it’s an investment.

When a community invests in its kids:
• Families stay instead of leaving
• Young adults come back after college or trade school
• Local businesses gain future employees and leaders
• Crime rates decrease
• Community pride and engagement increase

When that investment is missing, the opposite happens. Kids grow up, move away, and don’t return...

not because they don’t love their hometown, but because they don’t see a future in it.

This isn’t about pointing fingers. It’s about recognizing an opportunity.

Casper has incredible kids. If we want a stronger future here, it starts by showing them

consistently

that they matter, that they’re supported, and that this community believes in them.

That’s a win for our youth, our families, and the town as a whole.
