We also drew for the gun raffle:

Thank you to everyone who came out to make this event fun and to all the people/places that donate!
Make sure to keep an eye out for other events that we will be hosting throughout the year and if you still need to pay for your membership make sure to reach out to your WTDEA representative.
If you see WYDOT trucks out this afternoon (and before future winter storms) spreading some sort of liquid, relax, it's only a beet juice ice pretreatment better known as GeoBrine.
This sticky, reddish colored mixture is made of beet juice and salt brine and is used as a preventative step before a winter storm where we could see ice and slush accumulate. It helps to stop ice and slush from sticking to the road surface.
Please don't follow our trucks too closely if you see us out spreading GeoBrine. It won't damage your vehicle but if you do get it on your ride, we recommend washing it off as soon as you can. A car wash or at home - water works just fine.
Our Casper crews will be out this afternoon on I-25 spreading a salt/GeoMelt brine solution through the construction areas as a precaution against any icy conditions that may occur overnight. If you encounter a brine truck please allow plenty of room behind them.
Accident on Hwy 257 and 20/26 in Mills. Please use alternate routes.
