Pulling over to take a few extra shots we felt that sinking feeling at the edge of the Hogadon Parking lot. Three separate attempts were made by three separate Good Samaritans. The first attempt by a fellow named Joe..He had to have spent 40 minutes trying to dig me out…camping shovel and all…and that was with a Yukon…possibly 6 tugs…then Jake came by and helped Joe, people who I didn’t know…what great folks for trying. Five cars slowed to ask if they could help and said they would check with Hogadon. Meanwhile another driver who had just come off the slopes and asked to help…his truck shimmied twice and he apologized for his valiant effort but worried if he gunned it he’d go off the road. Meanwhile I called the AAA just in case. Enter All Around Towing and a friendly guy named Trevor who told me not to worry he’d be there soon. Kept the heat on, ate an apple, gobbled it down with some convenient dark chocolate clusters from Donells and guess who showed up…All Around Towing. And Trevor says we’re going to get you outta here…”I’m sure this hasn’t been fun, just hang on…I’m going to cinch you a little on this side then a little on this side…” well, he did just that...telling me which way to turn the wheel. “I think one more,” he said and ”we’ve got it, keep the wheel straight.” And boom maybe 14 minutes I was moving again. Giant Kudos to All Around Towing. And Trevor. And the same to all those Drivers who stopped or asked to help…This is why I live in Wyoming. All done with time to spare to get to the next story…
