Craft day with the cricuit! The Story Behind Flying Note Shorties!

Long before there were corgis, puppies, or Flying Note Shorties, there was a livestock brand.

My late grandmother, Sandra, created a livestock brand many years ago for her horses and cattle. The design resembled a music note, which is where the Flying Note name originated. As an adult, I wanted to carry a piece of that history forward, so I created my own registered livestock brand inspired by the original. The crossed “T” in the design represents my maiden name and honors the family history behind it.

When I brought home my first corgi in 2022, I needed a kennel name. Flying Note was already part of my story, and “Shorties” seemed like the perfect fit for a group of short-legged corgis. Flying Note Shorties was born.

Over the years, the livestock brand evolved into the logo many people recognize today, a music note combined with a corgi silhouette. While the logo has changed, the meaning behind it has not.

This little truck represents that journey. The music notes pay tribute to the original Flying Note brand, the paw prints represent the dogs, and the corgi silhouettes symbolize what Flying Note has become today.

What started as a livestock brand has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined. A family legacy, a kennel name, and a passion for raising and educating others about these incredible little dogs.

And it all started with a Flying Note.
