Since 1989, the Casper Downtown Development Authority has served as a steward for the historic heart of Casper - honoring the people, the places, and the stories that built our downtown while helping shape what comes next.

Here are five things worth knowing about your DDA:

✨ We collaborate with the City of Casper, but our work is different. While we work closely together, the DDA is an independent organization governed by its own Board of Directors with one singular focus: Downtown Casper.

✨ We’re funded by downtown, for downtown. Through a 16-mill levy approved by downtown commercial property owners every four years, investments are made directly back into the district to support businesses, public spaces, beautification, and long-term improvements.

✨ Our downtown district has defined boundaries. The Casper DDA serves the area bounded by Ash St. to the West, Kimball Street to the East, Collins St. to the South, and East B Street to the North. Every project, investment, and initiative is intentionally focused within these boundaries to support downtown businesses, property owners, and the long-term vitality of the heart of Casper.

✨ David Street Station got its start with the DDA. What began as our premier development project has grown into one of Downtown Casper’s greatest success stories. Today, David Street Station operates independently as its own 501(c)(3), continuing to bring people together year-round.

✨ This is where tradition meets tomorrow. Everything we do is rooted in preserving what makes Downtown Casper special while investing in what comes next - for our businesses, property owners, community, visitors, and future generations.
