Hi👋🏽 What started as a candle update (which I am excited to share) has turned into more of a life update🙃 I haven’t posted much on this platform since closing, so I was surprised my little story yesterday got so much love. It’s truly the interactions with so many of you I miss the most about actively running a B+M space (thank you and miss you)🫶🏼

When closing, I alluded to next steps for DS, which weren’t finalized at that time and have since fallen through. It was-yet another- end/change to a dream, but this one ended before it even had wings to fly.

My focus this past summer & fall has been both inward and what’s right in front of me (my humans and furry or feathered pets😂) for what I have deemed a “wellness journey.” It hasn’t been without a bit of floundering, but the change of pace and renewed attention to family has brought healing. Surprisingly so much healing has been found in the kitchen🫶🏼 Things like making and canning applesauce this week, harvesting our potatoes over the weekend, or batch making pesto from our garden basil… there’s a reason the simple tasks of connecting to the earth and the people who share in the food bring forth steady rhythms of what’s important- the true ingredients of slowing the mind and heart to be open and ready to receive what’s next.

I still believe there’s a continuation to this DS journey… it just hasn’t landed quite yet.

I do, however, have some fun news to share in the world of candle making! My friend, Kendra, has adoringly inquired about carrying my candles at her lovely establishment, 🤍 Starting today, DS candles will be available for purchase ($30 for 100% Natural Coconut Soy Wax + sustainable wood wick & bamboo lid in a fair trade glass container candle) during OPEN hours at The Ragged Edge Art Bar and Gallery, including my seasonal Autumn Leaves scent! The first to purchase one, will have a $15 Ragged Edge gift certificate waiting for you as a thank you and to have a drink on me (Ghostflower is my current favorite on their fall menu)🥀
