Need help understanding and communicating with your pup? Do you wonder why they do what they do and how to stop the pesky behaviors?

Inappropriate play behavior can occur for several different reasons.

Some dogs simply didn’t learn appropriate social skills as a puppy, while others are hard-wired to be pushy. At other times, a fun play session can suddenly escalate into something inappropriate.

It is important to learn how to recognize the early warning signs of aggression, so you can take whatever steps are necessary to keep everyone safe.

It’s extremely rare there’s absolutely 0 warning signs 🚩 so taking the time to learn dog body language is important when being a responsible dog owner especially if you take your dog to public areas with other dogs!

If your dog isn’t good at play and is a little bit of a bully never think I’ll just stop socializing. This will only make socializing become over stimulating.

Use appropriate training to help your dog become better at playing!

👁️ Monitor them at ALL times, literally don’t take your eye off them.

🦮 Use a long line, then you’re able to pull them in at any given moment to correct.

👯‍♀️ Be smart about who your dog plays with, keep groups small and avoid dog parks use your friend’s dogs then you don’t have to scramble for excuses or feel embarrassed about having a line.

🦸‍♀️ Be confident! Dogs feed off your energy and don’t hang over them trying to stop them at any given moment.

🔐 Safety first always! If you feel like your dog may bite don’t be afraid to wear a muzzle! Trust us, it doesn’t look irresponsible. It in fact looks MORE irresponsible when your dog gets over amped with another dog.

Understanding your dog
will help. So, the more quality time you spend with them exploring whether that be socializing, walking or playing the better understanding you’ll have!

Remember your dog studies your EVERY move 😉

Some bonds don’t need words—just love, trust, and a look that says everything. In a world that never stops moving, moments like this remind us to slow down, breathe, and hold onto the simple, fleeting connections that matter most.

Food bowls are boring. 💤 Next time you finish an egg carton, don’t toss it — turn it into a DIY feeder! 🥚
Drop your dog’s meal inside and let them sniff, paw, and work it out. It keeps their brain busy, taps into natural foraging instincts, and is a great confidence boost for shy pups.
Afterwards, let them rip it up and play with it.
For added challenge, use the cover so they have to figure out how to open it or add crunched paper into the compartments.
Easy, fun and educational.
