How long have you been with Plugged-In Iowa? Two years in October

What do you like most about your job? Getting to help people and show them they aren't alone.

What advice would you give to someone who is struggling? Everybody has struggles and we all deal with them differently. But nobody has to deal with it alone. When you're feeling like you're in the dark, reach out and turn on the light.

Happy 4th of July everybody!!!

We at Plugged-In Iowa were deeply saddened by the passing of Mechelle Dhondt today. The original mission of Plugged-In Iowa was to educate stakeholders across the state about the importance of peer support. It was Mechelle's idea for us to actually provide peer support in the ECR region and she helped guide us in that direction. If not for her we would not be providing the services that we are today. She was our greatest support and we owe her everything. She saw the importance of peer support and she took a chance that many others would have been afraid to. I cannot express how much she will be missed.

We have several staff down due to Covid. As a result, our PRZ's may or may not be opened as scheduled. Please follow for up to date information as we attempt to get healthy staff in place. Thank you all so much and we apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
