Give them a mission:

✔ Find 5 new or tricky words in their book
✔ Use clues to figure them out
✔ Draw a picture or act them out

5. Dominoes – Counting, Patterning, & Problem Solving

Math Skills:
• Counting and comparing quantities
• Making ten
• Visual matching & pattern recognition

Play Tips:
🟢 Ask kids to add up the dots they play
🟢 Challenge: Make 10 with two connected dominoes
🟢 Sort and graph the domino pieces by total dots

📌 Learning Twist: Use blank paper and make a domino “math sentence” (e.g., 4 + 3 = 7).
