Every year, this community shows up — and I mean really shows UP. The Centerville-Washington Township Americana Festival is two full days of fireworks, a parade down East Franklin Street, a 5K, live music, food vendors, an auto show... and it's all made possible by an incredible group of volunteers who pour their hearts into making it special.
Friday night, July 3rd — fireworks at 10 PM at Centerville High School. Saturday, July 4th — the parade kicks off at 10 AM right through Uptown Centerville.
If you're new to the area or thinking about making Dayton home, this is exactly what you can expect here. Community isn't something Centerville just talks about — it's something they build, year after year, with hundreds of people giving their time to make it happen.

It's peak PCS season — and the Dayton market is moving fast. 🏡
Median days on market just dropped to 27. Closings and pending sales are both sitting near 3-year highs. And the median price has climbed to around $265K, up from roughly $235–240K a year ago.
More homes are listing right now than we've seen in a while — but buyers are keeping right up with them. This isn't a slow summer market. It's an active one, and it's only going to get busier as more PCS orders land.
If you've got orders to WPAFB and you're planning to start house hunting once you touch down... that's usually the plan that costs you the house you wanted.

Happy Father's Day to the dads who packed up and moved their families — again — without complaint.
Who learned a new city's roads before they knew a single neighbor's name.
Who set up the beds first so the kids could sleep in a real room on night one.

I've watched my husband do all of that. More times than I can count. And I've watched our kids look to him to know how to feel about each new place — and every time, he gave them something steady to hold onto.
