First phone call this morning concerning an over heating engine Frozen engine block.
Hopefully thatll be the only one but not likely. CHECK YOUR ENGINE COOLANT!!!

Man comes in to shop today. He left angry. He’s got a vehicle that he says needs a part replaced. “Oh I’ve got my own part already”, and at that point I knew it was turning bad. I kept my mouth shut and proceeded to look up the cost to install the part that he’d already purchased. So he’s chatting while I’m looking, I hear him say he’s already replaced many parts on his vehicle to fix what ales his vehicle but it’s still messed up. Oh I so wanna be a smart butt at this point, but I continue what I’m doing without saying a lot.
See in general, a customer tells us what’s malfunctioning on the vehicle and it’s my responsibility to test, diagnostic and figure out the problem and then advise the best way to repair the issue.
So I’m finally complete looking up the costs to install the parts he’s purchased already and give him the price. “WHAT?!?” “Just to install that part?!?”
Yes I said. Then he asks, and I kid you not, he asks me, “what’s the warranty on that?” OMG. Now I’m really ready to be a smart butt, however I refrained, trying to maintain my professionalism. Sir, I cannot warranty a part you’ve purchased online. I’m sorry, it just doesn’t work that way.
“Well if you install it and it fails, I shouldn’t have to pay again!!”
It was at this point I knew, Sir we’re not gonna be able to help you with this. That’s how my day went, hoping for a better day tomorrow.
