Our staff got back from Nationals, and we didn’t waste a single second diving right back into work to make next season our best one yet!
While our dancers are enjoying a quick break, our team is working hard behind the scenes. Here’s a little look at what we’re up to this week:
☀️ Summer Classes: Our summer session officially kicks off this week at the studio!
✨ New Building Updates: We are busy getting our brand-new space ready for the big move.
♥️ Season Prep: We are actively planning, organizing, and dreaming up big things for next season.
🩰 Professional Development: Our instructors are focusing on individual growth to bring the very best training back to our dancers.
Ms. Nicole is currently in Pittsburgh at a dance intensive, working tech and taking classes! Our faculty is dedicated to constantly growing and improving so we can always give our absolute best to our dance family. Watch this fun jazz combo Ms. Nicole learned yesterday in one of her classes!

☀️ Exciting Summer Opportunity: Journey Dance Connection Workshop! ☀️
We are absolutely thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for dancers to keep moving, growing, and learning this summer—right here at our studio!
Journey Dance Connection is currently traveling to studios across the country hosting elite dance workshops, and they have offered us an exclusive date to host them on Friday, July 10th from 4:00 PM – 8:30 PM!
This is an amazing chance for dancers to learn from traveling professionals, experience new teaching styles, and push their training to the next level.

Time: 4:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Who: Open to all of our studio dancers, as well as the local dance community!
Workshop Rate: $150

Our next senior spotlight! ✨
At 18 years old, Ava Ralston graduated Cum Laude from Centerville High School. This fall, she plans to attend Sinclair Community College to earn her associate degree before transferring to Wright State University to continue studying health science with the goal of becoming a physical therapist.
Ava has danced at JDD for 15 years and competed for 13 years. Throughout her time at the studio, she has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, hip hop, modern, contemporary, and lyrical. Her favorite styles are contemporary and jazz.
Dance has been an important part of Ava’s life, and JDD has given her countless memories, friendships, and experiences that she will always cherish. Over the years, dance has helped her grow in confidence, leadership, and discipline while teaching her valuable life skills that she will carry with her into the future. Ava is incredibly grateful for all of the teachers and teammates who have supported and inspired her throughout her journey at JDD.
