Sunday, 8/13/17 6:00PM: I know that many of you plan to travel to a place where the August 21st solar eclipse can be seen in totality. Others who plan to stay in Dayton are also growing curious about what to expect here on eclipse day. For that reason I have decided to begin our eclipse weather coverage with a broad look at things.

This map will change in the days ahead, and those changes could be significant, but model consistency is currently good enough to lead me to think that changes might be minimal. Do *not* change plans or destinations at this point, because this forecast will be updated during the week as new information becomes available.
