Stop with the notion that every night need to be a gorgeous, lovely dinner. That's cool for when you have capacity... but DONE IS BEST.

Period.
I find that when I get home at the end of a long day and the '2nd shift' begins, I feel the to-do's looming ahead of me.
Dinner, homework, projects, sports, errands, workouts, cleaning, bedtimes.
And I want to just give up and eat cereal...
I preheat the oven and get out whatever KP brown box we have in the fridge.
It ALWAYS turns out to be a good idea.

I'll share what I do, and I've been doing this method for a loooong time, I make ONE meal and I serve it to the kids and adults.
I mix the salad with the dressing, I put all of the toppings on (onions and all), and I plate the meals for them. That way, they get a little of everything.
I don't expect them to eat all of everything, everytime. But I do put everything on the plate so they SEE it.
I do this for a very intentional reason: EXPOSURE.
I want them to not flinch at green things on their plate or sauces on their items. I want them to be open to all kinds of foods as they grow.
They can pick around the tomatoes or the kale. They can pull off the olives.
But sometimes, we get a huge win! Like a kid likes the curry soup, or the pickled red onions, or "this is my favorite way to make salmon!"
Do what you gotta do, and everyday is different. But when I can...I expose them to the good stuff. :)
