Many of you know us as National Lighting, and have seen us grow over the last 25+ years. It’s wild to see how far we’ve come in the past quarter decade.
1998: Founded as National Lighting
2010: Released first LED task light with internal power supply
2014: Released Hide-A-Dock DOCK 7
2014: First show at NeoCon
2017: Launched on MRL
2020: Moved into current and expanded facility with more office and storage space
2023: Rebranded to MOD Power & Lighting Solutions
2026: Launched on Configura CET Commercial Interiors in July!

We're feeling amp-ed up for Independence Day!
As we get ready to celebrate the 250th Independence Day of America, we're wishing everyone a safe holiday filled with bright moments, great company, and just the right amount of sparkle.

Light bulbs burn out when their internal components (usually a tungsten filament) wear down from extreme heat, causing the metal to thin out and eventually snap. In incandescent bulbs, the metal expands when hot and contracts when cold, creating stress that causes eventual failure, often when first switched on.
Key Reasons for Premature Burnout:
• Filament Weakness: The filament thins over time, creating high resistance that leads to a final, bright flash and failure.
• Excessive Heat/Overheating: Too much voltage or poor ventilation (for example: in recessed lighting) can destroy the bulb
• Loose Connections: A loose bulb in the socket or faulty wiring creates electrical surges.
• Frequent On/Off Cycles: Constantly switching bulbs on and off stresses the filament faster than leaving them on.
• Vibration: Fans or garage door openers can cause the fragile, hot filament to break.
