We are getting really close to moving the salon! It's bitter sweet. I have rented at my current Speakeasy Salon location for 6 years and love my neighbors there on Yoakum. Whitaker's Hardware has definitely been a lot of my entertainment and they have looked out for me. However, renting forever was never the end goal. We are greatly blessed to have gotten to purchase The Lentz Building from Dr. John Payne and I am ready to be in a place of my own. ❤️

We're getting really close to getting the salon open! It's crazy how far we've come since last August (2025)! This building has been a huge project for our family, but we've loved (almost) every minute of it and seeing the progress, although seemingly slow, has been very rewarding.

A neat find! This piano was one of the many items on display to sell by Mr Payne when we purchased the building and contents. Colton wanted it and took it home. He decided to clean the small piano and unscrewed the top off. Inside was a note. Written by, we assume, a young child. No name. No date. Where did it come from? And why was it sealed inside of the little play piano? Who would've ever found it if it wasn't for Colton being soo inquisitive?

It was a special day! Dr. John(JD) Payne stopped by for a visit! We bought the building from him last August (2025) after it sat vacant since 2011. Today was the first time he's been back to see the changes. We've come a long way and still have a long way to go, but it's been a lot of fun bringing this beautiful building back to life❤️
