A little over a week ago, Film Louisiana took to LA to show industry leaders what our state is all about, complete with a crawfish étouffée and cocktails.
Our very own Jason Waggenspack was there, meeting with producers, studios, and decision-makers to showcase what Louisiana offers as a production hub: updated incentives, unmatched locations, and a deep bench of local talent.
The event was part of a broader effort to ensure Louisiana stays competitive, visible, and top-of-mind in the industry. We’re proud to support that mission, and even prouder to see Jason helping lead the charge.

It’s spooky season! And no place knows how to bring on the chills like Louisiana.
From fog-drenched bayous to creaking plantations and historic neighborhoods with stories to tell, this state has long been a go-to backdrop for horror and thriller filmmakers.
From spine-tingling thrillers like The Skeleton Key and Caddo Lake to slashers and creature features like Texas Chainsaw and The Mis, Louisiana brings gritty, unsettling tales to life like nowhere else in the world.
What's your favorite scary movie? Let us know in the comments!

The New Orleans Film Festival lineup has dropped, and we couldn't be more excited.
From October 23-27, film lovers from all over will gather in NOLA to catch over 130 films.
This year’s spotlight includes Jay Kelly (directed by Noah Baumbach, starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler), Is This Thing On? (Bradley Cooper directing Will Arnett), and Wake Up Dead Man (the latest in the Knives Out series). There’s also work from Oscar winners, indie darlings, and international voices, plus screenings at some of the best venues in town.
We’re always excited to see New Orleans show up for film like this. The energy, the audiences, and the conversations remind us why we do what we do.
