😍 DOG-FRIENDLY! KID-FRIENDLY! 🥰
Who’s looking for a snuggle buddy who’s also a perfect car rider?

Sammie is a 2-yr-old guy who is a perfectly sweet and lovable companion. He just needs a forever family or a long-term foster.
He went to temporary foster with an adopter in place that fell through. We welcomed him with open arms and began working with him on training with simple commands and potty training. He has made enormous improvements in that direction!

We are now quickly approaching the deadline where his foster will be traveling too much to continue fostering over the summer months. He must be placed before May 23 😭🥺

Foster mom: "Sammie is a wonderfully, cuddly and super affectionate baby boy. He has been very friendly with every other dog he’s met and with children younger and older. While he is crate trained, he would much rather snuggle in the bed 😂. Don’t let his blocky head and stocky body fool you, this 50-lb sack of kisses is 100% beta personality everywhere except his food bowl. That was quickly remedied by just separating his and my other dogs bowls at feeding times. He is not a barker when delivery drivers or guest show but, does get lonely/whiny in his kennel and would honestly do best with another pet."

Meet Ramona.
Her foster is moving in a few weeks and has not been able to secure housing. She is looking for a new or at least temporary foster--or adopter for Ramona.

If she can't find dog-friendly housing soon, "I will have to return her to the shelter by June 2nd. I really do not want to take Ramona back. Ramona was on the e-list a couple of months ago and I’m afraid she will be back on the list. Even if someone can hang on to her for a month or two I would be willing to continue fostering her. She has truly thrived in my home and is an amazing smart dog. Here are a few things to know about her:

-She is a 65 pound cuddle bug.
-She is non destructive and can be left alone for several hours.
-Potty trained (no accidents)
-She is very smart and treat oriented. She knows/is mastering commands such as sit, paw, down, down stay, stay, roll over and spin. She listens verbally but I also use sign language.
-She sleeps through the night from about 9:30-830 a.m.
-Loves sunbathing in the yard
-Loves car rides
-Loves walks but still learning how to not pull on the leash
-Ramona may do best in a home without other animals although it doesn’t seem impossible. She can walk parallel to other dogs but she also tries to chase the stray cats in the neighborhood."

If you can help with an adopter or a foster takeover even just for a month or two as her foster seeks dog-friendly housing, please reach out. Please share to help her find her forever home!
She is available for adoption/foster takeover through Dekalb County Animal Services in metro Atlanta.

Meet Nucleus, the lovable goofball. His foster dad: "I mean, there's so much to Nuke. He's very regimented and will let you know he's ready for his morning walk. Something he never wants to go without. But the rest of the day, he's content to sleep and snore on the couch or snuggle up and watch Netflix.

"He never meets a stranger and wants to make all the new friends he can, two-legged or four-. He's not really food-motivated, so you don't have to worry about begging at the table.

"He's crate-trained, and he knows to let you know when he needs to go outside. Usually, this is him calmly sitting by the front door, but if you miss the signal, he'll come find you.

"He's also just a lovable goofball when he's playing outside or with other dogs. He wants to play with cats, but he doesn't understand that they are not 60-pound dogs like he is, and they don't like barking or roughhousing."

Nucleus is living in a home with kids too! He's in foster for LifeLine's Community Animal Center in metro Atlanta.

To meet this lovable goofball, fill out the form on his profile, link in comments, to be in touch with his foster parents.
