We took photos in my backyard on Sunday.
Molly Oberg | Illinois grown produce | Farmers Market dreamed up a citrus-inspired outdoor meal.
I used servingware from quality sofas | unique home decor and gifts and of course fab produce and flowers from Molly and her mom.
Photos of skirts are coming but this post is about the food. How lovely is this spread 🥰 Makes me want to throw parties for all my skirts and we can take photos as we eat and laugh and cook. 👩🍳

Designing a skirt and styling a skirt are 2 separate jobs.
Designing a skirt involves precision, calculation, ex*****on. Spreadsheets and a head full of data, create each next iteration of skirt.
When the finished skirt arrives from India, then comes styling. I like going by myself to the consignment shop. Lots to choose from. And I listen to the skirt. I’m always surprised by the colors and prints that go together.
There are only a few sizes of this gem left. Italian Voile (voile is the fabric type) made from cotton and ramie (my first ramie skirt and as a fiber nerd that thrills me 🤤 - ramie is an ancient fiber, similar to linen). I found the fabric on a trip to NYC, shipped it to India, and then Manju and the team at Zindagi Cloth and Fibre Pvt Ltd stitched it into skirts.
