Today, we commemorate the 82nd anniversary of D-Day. In remembrance of that momentous event and those who sacrificed their lives on that day to bring freedom, I would highly encourage you to go see the movie, “Pressure” while it is still in theaters. I watched it recently and it is excellent! (Even though the trailer says, “Only showing in theaters May 29th,” it is still showing at this time.) Please take a moment to watch AND share the movie trailer, which you will find at the link in the comments below.

“Illusionists are masters of misdirection. With a flick of the hand and a well-timed distraction, they can make you believe something that isn’t real. Coins vanish. Cards teleport. Rabbits appear. The trick works because your attention is in the wrong place. And just like that, you’re fooled. But what if the same thing is happening, not on a stage, but in the ideas shaping our world? You scroll through Instagram and see a popular Muslim arguing, ‘Jesus never said, “I am God.”’ Your friend asks why people go to Hell for not believing in Jesus. You hear a trending voice claim, ‘Science proves God doesn’t exist.’ Each of these misdirects and misleads, making the truth easy to miss. At this season’s Reality Student Apologetics Conference, we’re tackling challenges to reality—from rival worldviews, to technology, to the exclusivity of Jesus, and more. The writer of Hebrews gives a sobering warning: ‘We must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it’ (Heb. 2:1). Drifting doesn’t happen all at once. It happens when we stop paying attention. That’s why Reality Apologetics exists and is essential for every young Christian. We train students to slow down, think clearly, and fix their eyes on what’s true. Join us this year as we expose the challenges to reality and point back to truth.” -Stand To Reason

“From the shores of foreign lands to the sands of the middle east, and even across vast stretches of oceans and the skies above them, men and women of the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Air Force have sacrificed for freedom. Some have paid the ultimate price. They have galvanized their status as heroes in toil and blood at places like Gettysburg, Normandy, Iwo Jima, Belleau Wood, and a host of others. Some lie at rest in Arlington National Cemetery and other military cemeteries throughout America; others do not. This Memorial Day, we recall the words of Gen. Douglas MacArthur, taken from his Sylvanus Thayer Award acceptance address he gave at West Point on May 12, 1962. His speech not only captures the virtues American soldiers have exhibited throughout history, but honors their sacrifices: ‘He needs no eulogy from me or from any other man. He has written his own history and written it in red on his enemy's breast. But when I think of his patience under adversity, of his courage under fire, and of his modesty in victory, I am filled with an emotion of admiration I cannot put into words. He belongs to history as furnishing one of the greatest examples of successful patriotism. He belongs to posterity as the instructor of future generations in the principles of liberty and freedom. He belongs to the present, to us, by his virtues and by his achievements. In 20 campaigns, on a hundred battlefields, around a thousand campfires, I have witnessed that enduring fortitude, that patriotic self-abnegation, and that invincible determination which have carved his statue in the hearts of his people. From one end of the world to the other he has drained deep the chalice of courage.’”

There are two competing views to explain how we, as human beings, came to be; either we were created by God, as recorded in the book of Genesis, or we have descended from ape-like ancestors, as the result of Darwinian evolution. According to a biblical worldview, there is only one race of people- the human race. (Our differences in skin tone, etc., are not difficult to explain, as they are simply a matter of genetics). And because we were created by God- in His image- every human being has equal value and worth.
But in contrast to this, the theory of evolution suggests that there are different "races" of people that have allegedly descended from ape-like ancestors, over millions of years, at various locations, and at various rates. (Let that last point sink in). Those who believe that we are the evolutionary descendants of ape-like ancestors are being very hypocritical when they suggest that humans are equal in value and worth, because such a view is logically inconsistent with an evolutionary history of man.
In short, belief in the theory of evolution is largely responsible for much (if not most) of the chaos, controversy, confusion, and division that we are experiencing today over the topic of racism. The fact is, the only real, lasting solution to racism is for us to finally let go of what is turning out to be an outdated, discredited, and unscientific theory known as Darwinian evolution; a theory that belongs in the dustbin of history. Whether you agree with me or disagree with me, please be sure to watch AND share the following documentary, "Human Zoos: America’s Forgotten History of Scientific Racism," which shows an undeniable relationship between racism and the theory of evolution.
