It's official - the release of the first ever L.I.T. Movie, "Evil Ball: Destination Camp" has PREMIERED!

Screened for the first time on Friday, July 10th, "Evil Ball: Destination Camp" follows an Evil Ball in its journey of fruition, featuring a past Color Wars, confessional-style interviews, a re-enactment of "DANG!," and even some counselors from Camp: Destination Past, "Evil Ball: Destination Camp" comes in at EXACTLY 90 Minutes - featuring some special fun facts about Morocco, and is a hit that all can enjoy!

Our L.I.T.'s - completely of their own volition - brainstormed, created, produced, & filmed "Evil Ball: Destination Camp," with our campers, their peers, staff, and members of the Camp: Destination Community, and revealed it for the first time to campers on Friday. Friday was a big day in the L.I.T. Program. While many L.I.T.'s will be returning for Week 8 of camp, we said goodbye to a vast majority of our program participants as they embark on the start of their school year this week (crazy!).

We could not be more proud to have such a strong group of L.I.T.'s with us this summer, and of all that they have accomplished in the . Be it the DANG, the Weekly Recap, Weekly Program Leadership, hosting the Palooza, or the individual growth which each have shown to get campers cheering for them all summer long, our L.I.T.'s have left a remarkable mark on Camp: Destination Culture - and shown exactly what leadership is about.

Thursday Night was the Camp: D Lore Lock-In! To celebrate all the fun of the and its 12 preceding years, campers came ready to celebrate the BEST of Camp: Destination Past.

We started off with our traditional Pizza Dinner, and then broke into "The Floor Is Lava." Campers had to work together in teams and found our campus completely flipped upside down. Holding hands and making their way through obstacles (in the dark, might we add!), one blindfolded camper had to grab a mystery item, which became the token for their piece in Pitch Black Mafia!

Bringing one of our favorite Group Games to life, we played Pitch Black Mafia with not just the Mafia, Doctor, & Sheriff, but also - the Warlock, Evil Warlock, Psycho, Axolotl, Amnesiac, Insomniac, and the Noter! However, our game never quite reached its conclusion, as we then found ourselves in the complete dark for an epic round of Bear In The Woods - our favorite Camp: Destination Game of all!

We concluded the night by watching our traditional, Lore Lock-In Movie - "Heavyweights" featuring Ben Stiller. Overall, it was an epic night celebrating Camp: D Past, Present, and the excitement which the future holds!

It was Camp: Destination Lore Week, which means it was time to make some Solar Ovens!

For those who don't know, Solar Ovens is a program where campers craft a DIY Oven out of tinfoil, cardboard, and an overwhelming amount of Black Paper, all to bake S'mores & Cookies in the piping Arizona Sun!

Campers worked in small groups & ended up producing all sorts of Solar Oven Goodness, in this popular & classic Camp: Destination Program. And with record high temperatures in the East Valley this week - it was the perfect week to bake our treats!
