Meta is developing AI-powered humanoid robots through its Reality Labs division, focusing on household tasks.
According to an internal memo accessed by Reuters, the company is forming a robotics product group to research and develop consumer humanoid robots using its Llama AI models.
Meta aims to create its own humanoid robot hardware while also developing AI, sensors, and software for third-party robotics companies.
Bloomberg reports that Meta has begun discussions with firms like Unitree Robotics and Figure AI but does not plan to launch its own branded robot immediately.
