If you repeated your actions of today for 100 straight days, would your life be better or worse than it is today?

5 things I learned living in Korea
One of the greatest things you can do in life is to put yourself in uncomfortable places
At 29 years old I saddled up a brand new wife and moved to South Korea
I was excited for sure but loaded with apprehension and nervousness
1. Expansion comes from discomfort
2. One year is a lot less time than you think it is
3. Different doesn’t mean better or worse, just different
4. Changing the things you see in the world, changes the way you see the world
5. Finding what you don’t like is equally as important as finding what you do like
There were lots I didn’t enjoy about that experience- monsoons, using whole fish in the soup, Hierarchy structure
As I look back I see I am a better person because of the experience
My memories now involve Cherry blossoms in Seoul, speed train trips with a young bride, and vacation in Thailand
Make a plan to get out there and see the world this year
The warrior mind dies 1 death
The weak mind dies a hundred times a day
You don't want to get in the room
You don't know it yet, but there is a room inside the room
That's the room you want to be in
That's where the heavy hitters, decision makers, and play callers congregate
The room inside the room happens before the doors are open - and is open long after the doors close to the rest of the room
Find the room you need to be in- then find the inner circle
Undefended: A Masterclass in Relationships and Communication with Molly Murphy | Ep 98
I’m joined today by my guest, Molly Murphy, a dynamic Breakthrough Coach, who’s here to unravel the complexities of how we interact in relationships that can affect how we lead, and even how we parent, shedding light on the crucial aspects of masculine and feminine energies and unveiling the path to personal empowerment and breaking free from limiting narratives.
Molly's journey in relationships and communication, coupled with her belief in heart-centered influence, resonates with the principles of extreme ownership and radical responsibility.
Her insights challenge us to confront the stories that keep us confined and invite us to embark on a transformative journey toward authenticity and integrity.
In this episode, we talk about…..
-Molly's transition from corporate America to coaching
-The critical need for improved communication skills
-Understanding Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS)
-Identifying fragmented parts within ourselves
-Molly's personal journey toward self-love
-Insights into wounded masculine energy, its signs
-The pursuit of understanding the differences between men and women
I already knew better 👨🏫
I've learned this lesson multiple times before 🥇
If you're anything like me, most projects take 100% longer with 100% more resources than I estimated
I had a board that needed to be replaced on my deck, and knowing the rule above I bought three boards. As I replaced the first board, I noticed the support board underneath was also bad - DANG!
100% more resources, 100% more time that I don't have. Instead of an easy rip and replace I had to hire a pro to do it
My cost, however, wasn't only the cost of the time to go to Lowe’s, rip the first board up and replace i
My REAL cost was the lost opportunities of what I could have been doing instead
My direct cost is the cost of having to do it twice because replacing decking isn't my highest-value skill

What's my lesson? I shouldn't have been doing that in the first place
My priorities are simple- health, wealth and relationships
For sure I sweated, but that was hardly the efficient calorie burn as if I hit the gym or a run for the same period
Though I likely could have saved a few bucks, I also could have easily generated three times the value if I had worked on my business during that same time
Though I did teach Beckett a thing or two about construction, and I did get some quality time, was it the BEST quality time?
Health-wealth-relationships- if it doesn't feed one of those, I know I shouldn't be doing it
I just had to relearn the lesson
The lesson is simple: Be critical with your time and energy, and guard it as if your success depended upon it
