The Citadel Electrical and Computer Engineering

Congratulations to our Electrical Engineering Class of 2021! 🎉

We recently celebrated our graduating seniors during our annual awards ceremony. Each senior student received an engraved Citadel desk wedge. In addition, two awards were presented for outstanding academic achievements:

The 2021 Charles Thurston Razor Award was presented to Tyrone Richardson Tanco in recognition of his scholastic achievements and ability and willingness to help others.

The 2021 Peter Gaillard Memorial Award was presented to Seth Sung-Hoon Thomas in recognition of his scholastic attainment, leadership, and participation in extra-curricular activities.

After decades of innovating, leading and teaching, John Peeples, Ph.D., Citadel Class of 1970, still comes to campus energized about the field of electrical engineering. Peeples’s devotion to all things in the realm of computer and electrical engineering, or “techno-lust” as he calls it, continue to earn him accolades-most recently a scholarship named his honor-the “Dr. Johnston W. Peeples, ‘70 Electrical and Computer Engineering Scholarship.” This scholarship was made possible by two fellow engineering alumni (one of which is a former student of Dr. Peeple’s) who are currently with Nova Technologies. Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication Dr. Peeples!
