The story of every HIMALAYA starts long before it enters our workshop.

Last week, two original Land Rover Series IIA donor vehicles arrived in Charleston, each carrying decades of history with them.

Finding these vehicles is one of our favorite parts of the process. Hidden away in barns, garages, and fields across the country, every Land Rover has a story worth preserving.

The first is a beautifully preserved 1968 Series IIA that has remained in a single family since new. The original green patina is simply too good to cover up, so rather than repainting it, we’ll preserve every ounce of its character while giving it a new life for the road ahead.
