There are a lot of awards, trophies, and recognitions that I’ve been fortunate enough to receive throughout my career, but this one hits differently.

Being recognized by VFW Post 3137 with the Americanism Award is something that means more to me than any award I’ve ever received.

As a small business owner, I’ve always believed that success isn’t measured by how many pizzas you sell, how many locations you open, or how many competitions you win. Success is measured by the impact you have on the people around you and the community you serve.

Our veterans, active military members, and first responders make sacrifices every single day that most of us will never fully understand. They put service before self, protect our freedoms, keep our communities safe, and answer the call when others need help. Because of them, families can sleep peacefully at night and businesses like mine have the opportunity to pursue the American Dream.

Supporting those who serve has never been about recognition for me. It’s about gratitude. It’s about giving back to the men and women who have given so much for all of us.

Whether it’s supporting local veterans organizations, first responders, community events, schools, or charitable causes, Pizza A Modo Mio will always do its best to be more than just a pizza shop. We want to be a business that genuinely cares about the people who make our community special.

I want to thank VFW Post 3137 for this incredible honor. I am truly humbled and grateful. This award belongs just as much to my amazing team, my wife Julie, our loyal customers, and everyone who supports our mission to give back.

Thank you to all of our veterans, active military members, police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and first responders. We appreciate your sacrifice, your dedication, and your service more than words can express.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Good evening everyone,

I wanted to take a minute to update and educate all of our amazing customers and followers on something that is extremely important to us at Pizza A Modo Mio, our dough.

Many of you may have noticed the disclaimer on our website and heard the message on our phone system explaining that once we run out of dough for the day, we unfortunately will not have more until the following day. I wanted to explain why and help everyone understand the process a little more.

Our dough is not something we can just make in a few hours. We ferment our dough for 48 hours and that process is a huge part of what makes our pizza what it is. The fermentation helps with the flavor, texture, crispiness, proper cook and even the digestibility of the pizza. This is all science and true pizza making. This is how you achieve a light crust with a great cook and the quality that we stand behind every single day.

Each one of our locations is a little different depending on refrigeration and storage space. As humbled and excited as we are from all the recurring business and support we have been receiving, there is physically only so much 48 hour fermented dough we can make ahead of time, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.

It’s not about what our ovens can handle or manpower. It literally comes down to how much properly fermented dough we can produce and store each day. There are simply more of you than there is dough sometimes, and honestly that is a blessing that we are extremely thankful for.

Please know we are actively working on strategic plans to increase our production and storage capabilities so we can carry more ready to use 48 hour fermented dough and continue giving everyone the best experience possible during our busiest nights.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, love and continued support while we continue growing. Seeing the support from the Charleston community at all three of our locations means the world to my family and our

🙏🏻
Thank you all again for supporting our little family owned business, believing in our product and allowing us to continue doing what we love every single day

All 4 locations including the Refinery were busy all day long. From start to finish, it was nonstop, and it’s all because of our incredible customer base and the loyalty you continue to show us.

Between two massive catering orders and over 500 pizzas made across all locations… my team absolutely kicked ass today. I couldn’t be more proud of the effort, focus, and teamwork that went into making it all happen.

Charleston thank you. Your support means everything to us.

And to my team—thank you for your hard work day in and day out. I’m proud and honored to be here serving these amazing communities with you.

We’ve also got some exciting news rolling out next week… and we think the community is going to LOVE it 👀🔥

Stay tuned!

Any guesses??? If you were in the shops while I was talking about it you may know already…😝

BE A LEADER

The other day I was in the back washing dishes, cleaning up the prep area, doing whatever needed to get done. A customer stopped me and asked, “Why are you doing that? Don’t you have staff for it?”

And honestly, that question stuck with me.

Just because I’m the owner doesn’t mean I’m above anything in this building. I’m not better than anyone here. We all wear the same jersey.

We open together.
We work together.
We close together.

One team. One unit.

There’s this idea out there that being an owner means sitting back, collecting money, and letting everyone else do the work. That’s not how I was raised, and it’s definitely not how I run my business.

If my team is grinding, I’m grinding with them. If there are dishes to be washed, I’m right there. If prep needs to get done, I’m in it.

Because leadership isn’t about telling people what to do it’s about showing them how it’s done.

To all the business owners reading this really think about how you run your business and how you show up for your team. The little things go a long way. If you want a tenured, experienced, loyal team… be their coach, be their leader, and be right there with them every step of the way.

Pour into your people, and they’ll pour into your business.

I want my team to know that anything is possible. That respect goes both ways. That no job is “too small.”

That’s how you build a real culture.
That’s how you build a family.
That’s how you build something that lasts.

And that’s something I’ll never change. 💪🍕
