Marathon training in full swing, I’m SCARED!! But I always remind myself, you can do hard things!!! How I’m managing training for a marathon and a sub 60 HYROX.
Every Monday Wednesday Friday and Saturday are my running days. Tuesday and Thursdays are specific lifting to maintain muscle & strength, power. Some of my marathon training ties into hyrox with the tempo and speed workouts I have to do. After a run I sometimes will add in a block to help with the areas I need to work on in Hyrox. On the days I’m not running I focus just on lifting, the days I have off in between running has really helped me feel excited for the next run. I always take a full rest day on Sunday/ or sometimes two rest days. If that’s the case I put a strength day on a run day as well.
So far this flow has worked extremely well. This week I have 14 miles (which will be the longest distance I’ve ever done.) I’m very excited to run my first ever marathon!!!!!!!! 🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
