I wanted this when I left MICHIGAN back in 2019. To be a carrier over the road transporting freight, the goal was to learn how the supply chain really operates, and eventually become a freight brokerage.

Held back by $27k in insurance premiums they were asking for a Surety Bond and Contingent Cargo Ins. I knew I was being over charged bc of my current credit score at the time. So I had to step back and get my personal life under control.

So I did just that, focused on my financial education.
Came back better set and comfortable to make the move.

My quote for Surety Bond and Contingent Cargo Ins. now that I’ve got my personal finances and credit in a good place is was -$24k difference 🤯

Finally 2 years later 1st option delivery now known as 1st Option Freight Brokerage was ACCEPTED by the FMCSA to operate as a Freight Brokerage🤙🏾
