Lowcountry Blessing Box Project
Supporting a network of free, anonymous food pantries and refrigerators in South Carolina

Blessing Box will be back up by this weekend at 1642 Sumner Ave in North Charleston. Doesn’t the new box look great!
The old one was wiped out by a drunk driver along with the host’s fence in November but it’s back bigger and better!

Everyone knows somebody who has been affected by cancer. Dragon Boat redefines its participants' cancer journeys; it gives cancer survivors an opportunity to get out on the water, gives them a sense of community, and also funds year-round wellness programs. Each May, the annual festival is the only fundraiser for this organization, and we'd love your support.
My Dragon Boat Charleston team is composed of cancer survivors who are paddling because they can, those paddling for people who are currently in the fight, and those paddling in memory of a loved one who has lost the battle. Every day cancer survivors demonstrate incredible strength and resilience, but their journey doesn’t end with treatment. Please help us as we raise money to promote the physical and mental wellness among ALL cancer survivors- male and female.
Money should not be a barrier to participation. Your donation helps buy equipment and pay for the upkeep of the boats, making it possible for all to participate, and helping provide Low Country cancer survivors free access to paddling programs and off water programs that are designed for their unique circumstances. In addition to dragon boating, our members provide outreach services such as rides to appointments, delivering meals, and offering a shoulder to lean on. Dragon Boat is a Floating Support System for those in need.
Dragon Boat Charleston (DBC) is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 150 cancer survivors in the Lowcountry of South Carolina through paddling, mostly on the Ashley River. DBC nourishes the mind, body and spirit of their members through the sport of dragon boating. They also host recreational and social gatherings throughout the year and participates in several races. Some of their participants call it a floating support group.

What’s the Dragon Boat Festival?
Donations raised by festival teams help fund Dragon Boat Charleston's programs including paddling, workshops in nutrition and exercise, social events, mentoring, P.A.T.H. outreach, race fees and scholarships for survivors. This year each participant must raise a minimum of $200 to paddle.
I hope you will stop by Brittlebank Park to cheer us on as we race on May 3rd. You’ll be glad you stopped by 🙂 Click the link below to donate to my team, and please share to help me reach my goal!
