It's tough seeing Viper 640 team The Wild Hogs ( #159) narrowly miss a podium spot at the 2015 EFG Winter Cup, losing the tie breaker to the luck of the Irish (Viper #234).

Tragic developments for the future of sailing in downtown Manhattan.... the team is going to have to find something new to do on Wednesday nights.

While it's understandable how attractive this deep water marina and associated slips can be to mega yacht owners wanting access directly to Manhattan, it's depressing to think how many people are going to lose access to the waterfront. Scuttlebutt stated there are near 900+ members, and this club has done an incredible job at lowering the barriers to get into this awesome sport we are so passionate about. Those without the means/access to boats, and others who were new to the sport, all understand what a profound impact this will have on the sailing community in the Tri-State and New England regions.
