I’m Delbert Roush III and Kanawha County’s newest Magistrate, I bring decades of experience and a lifelong commitment to public service and justice.I attended West Virginia State University where I majored in Criminal Justice.
I began my career working at the Kanawha Home for Children Juvenile Detention Center.
I later served as a Home Confinement Officer with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
While working as a civilian with the Sheriff’s Office, I found my true calling in law enforcement.
I tested for the department and was hired as a Deputy Sheriff in January 2000, beginning a 26 year career dedicated to protecting the community and upholding the law.
Throughout my professional life, I have demonstrated deep respect for public safety, the courts, and the principles that keep communities safe and united. As a magistrate, I remain committed to justice, ensuring fairness, accountability, and unwavering respect for the Constitution.
I’m a devoted family man with strong faith in God,I believe that integrity, personal responsibility, and service to others are the foundation of a strong and healthy society.
