Today’s Air Quality Index (AQI) is 115, which means the air is unhealthy for sensitive groups—and that includes many of our dogs.

Here’s how to help keep your pup safe:

🐾 Keep outdoor time to quick potty breaks only.
🚫 Skip long walks, runs, and vigorous play until the air improves.
🏠 Keep windows and doors closed, and run an air purifier if you have one.
❤️ Be extra careful with puppies, senior dogs, dogs with heart or lung conditions, and flat-faced breeds like Pugs, French Bulldogs, and Boxers.

Watch for signs that your dog may be struggling:
👀 Red or watery eyes
🤧 Sneezing or coughing
😮‍💨 Fast or labored breathing
😔 Low energy or weakness

If your dog is having trouble breathing or seems distressed, contact your veterinarian right away.

A quiet day indoors with enrichment toys, puzzle feeders, frozen treats, or a little extra cuddle time is the safest choice today. Stay safe, everyone! 🐾💕
