Our interns had the opportunity to spend the day with the interns from JE Dunn Construction for a hands-on look at how strong partnerships help deliver successful projects. From touring the MSS fabrication facility to visiting an active job site, where MSS and JE Dunn are partnering, they gained valuable insight into how collaboration drives projects from the shop to the field.

At The Pearl CLT Innovation District, our Building Automation team provided a comprehensive system that helps optimize performance, efficiency, and sustainability across the campus. Scope of work included:

- Full Building Automation System (BAS) installation and programming
- Control of chilled water, hot water, and glycol systems
- Integration of HVAC equipment and air handling units
- Control of VAVs, fan coil units, and exhaust systems
- Integration of chillers, heat pumps, and air valves
- Centralized building controls for efficient system performance

Beyond HVAC, the system monitors electrical infrastructure, generators, and site natural gas consumption providing the data needed to support the campus's Net Carbon Zero goals.

Projects like The Pearl showcase how advanced controls create smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable buildings.

Our team continues to make great strides at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, where coordination and craftsmanship are helping bring this project to life. We're proud of the work being done and look forward to sharing more updates as the project advances.
