The timing belt/chain keeps your engine’s valves and pistons in sync. If it fails, it can cause catastrophic engine damage… and we’re talking thousands in repairs. 💸

🔍 What we check:
✔️ Visible wear or cracking
✔️ Slap/noise or misalignment
✔️ Oil leaks that can damage the belt
✔️ Mileage vs. manufacturer recommendations

📅 When to inspect:

Timing belts should typically be inspected at 60k–100k miles

Timing chains can last longer, but still need to be checked regularly—especially if you hear rattling or notice rough idling

🚨 Warning signs you shouldn’t ignore:

Engine misfires or rough running

Ticking/rattling from the engine

Metal shavings in oil
