Set in Pittsburgh’s Hill District in 1985, King Hedley II is a story of survival, redemption, and a man determined to build a future in a world working against him.

Toi shares that playing Tonya has challenged her spirit in the best way. Tonya isn’t soft — she’s strong, she’s honest, and she refuses to bring a child into a world that keeps breaking Black men. That monologue alone? It’s worth the price of admission.
