We are proud to have passed the Compostability test for our SUPERSORB® Pads and Envelopes. Both products were successfully tested in accordance with DIN EN 13432 by DIN CERTCO (Gesellschaft für Konformitätsbewertung mbH) for compostable products.

The test criteria include
✅ Biodegradation: Measures the material’s rate of metabolic, microbial conversion into water, carbon dioxide, mineral salts of any other elements present and new cell biomass.

✅ Disintegration: Tested material is mixed with organic waste for 12 weeks, after which time, no more than 10 percent of material fragments are allowed to be larger than 2 mm.

✅ Toxic substances: There must be a minimal negative effect on the quality of the resulting compost.

✅ Ecotoxicity effects: Compares compost produced with and without the addition of material tested.

Materials, and products that can be recycled in industrial composting play a major role in the circular economy. Due to their great potential for meeting stricter disposal requirements, the demand for industrially compostable products made from biodegradable materials is continuously increasing.

This certification is a next step in our efforts to offer our customers sustainable solutions for their frying oil filtration challenges.
