This weeks Member Spotlight is on Hope Thomas, owner and creator of Riverstone Pottery.

From her humble beginnings in a spare bedroom, Hope makes each piece herself, ensuring a unique and special product every time. Her process is inspired by the natural world. Everything from the sky to the ground is represented in the colors she chooses for her glaze.

Professionally trained with a degree in Ceramic Art from UNCC, Hope's business is named after her childhood experiences on the banks of Lake Wylie in South Carolina. In addition to her space at C3, she runs a popular ETSY store where she has gotten rave reviews.

This week's C3 Member Spotlight is on Karen Trigg, another one of our longtime member artists. Both a creator and a teacher, Karen strives to emulate the uninhibited spirit of the art of children. To do this, Karen says that one must trust the process and "Learn to Play again".
To Karen, the uncertainty in her approach to painting is what allows her to continue her journey through a back and forth dialogue with her work. The ultimate experience for her is for a piece to, in her words, "paint itself".
