💜💜Mady Lowry💜💜

I am graduating from Glenwood High School. After high school, I plan on attending Lincoln Land Community College to major in nursing in hopes to be a pediatric nurse in the future. I have danced at JDS for 15 years. My favorite styles of dance include Hiphop and jazz. During my time at the studio, I have enjoyed the long lasting friendships over the years and the countless memories that have been apart of it. I’ve also enjoyed being able to teach and assist the younger dancers and seeing their growth throughout the year. Dance has given me strong life lessons that have benefited me and made me a better person. The most challenging aspect of dance was balancing my busy schedule and still having time to do other things. My advice for younger dancers is to create strong friendships and don’t take everything so seriously. Truly enjoy every moment, friendship, and last minute hangout after practice. Don’t be too hard on yourself and focus on making yourself proud! My favorite JDS memory would be hanging out and laughing with my close friends and our moms at competitions.

We are so proud of Mady and can’t wait to see what she does next!

💜💜Addison Marcordes💜💜

After graduating from Glenwood High school, I plan on attending Greenville University and majoring an Exercise Science. I do plan on counting my dance career college, and am signed to their dance team. I have danced for 14 years, and my favorite style is musical theater. While being a student at Jan’s Dance Studio, I’ve most enjoyed being able to call someplace, besides my house, a home. Dance has benefited me by making me a confident young woman. It’s given me life long lessons that I’ll use outside of the studio, and had taught me the importance of kindness. The most challenging part of dance for me has been not having enough confidence in myself as a dancer. My biggest form of advice to give to younger dancers is to work hard, be honest, and most importantly,be kind. Although it may be easier to follow the crowd, having a good, honest work ethic will go along way. Lastly, kindness is free!! Don’t forget that!! My favorite Jan’s Dance Studio moment is consistently winning sportsmanship awards throughout the years.

We are so proud of Addison and can’t wait to see where the world takes her!
