On World Assistive Technology Day, we're recognizing the importance of making quality assistive products available where and when they're needed.

Service providers in low-resource communities often face limited product choice, long delivery times, and complicated procurement processes that delay access to essential equipment. We help address these challenges by making quality assistive products more accessible.

When providers can access the right products, more people can get the support they need to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

In 2015, five organizations across Asia and the Western Pacific were recognized as CLASP Service Partners for their leadership in delivering high-quality wheelchair services:

• Frank Hilton Organization Fiji
• MAC Georgia
• Ucprukindonesia
• The Association of People with Disability - India
• Paraplegic Center Peshawar

As part of the partnership, each organization received a donated container of wheelchairs to expand local access to appropriate mobility aids.

More than a decade later, our partnerships continue to highlight the importance of investing in local organizations that understand the needs of the people they serve.
