Living History Course

Thanks to strong interest, we’ve expanded our age range—this program is now open to students ages 8 and up!

Step into the past at Audubon Acres with our Living History Course, a 9-week immersive experience where students learn 1800s skills and become historical interpreters.

Participants will explore hands-on trades like fiber arts, woodworking, blacksmithing, soap making, natural dyeing, and foodways—discovering not just how people lived, but why these skills mattered. Along the way, students will build confidence through interpreter training, learning how to demonstrate and share history with others.
