Join & in the screening of “Lucia”, anthology film following three stories about three women named Lucia throughout different moments in Cuban history.

First story is during the Cuban War of Independence from Spain in 1895. The second is based in the 1930s under the control of Machado. While the final tale takes place in 1961 after the revolution during the literacy campaign.

Each year, the brings hundreds of thousands of dollars of material aid in suitcases with our brigadistas, but this year is different. As the US escalates their warmongering in an attempt to crush the Cuban Revolution, we too are escalating our defense of Cuba.

, May Day Brigade, & Action for Cuba Committees are increasing our material support efforts by sending charter planes of aid in late April with our May Day Brigade delegation & in August with Centenary of Fidel Brigade.

Without oil for over three months due to the US energy blockade, President Miguel Díaz-Canel has had to enact similar emergency restrictions of the special period to maintain basic essential functions.

We denounce the blockade by the United States government inflicting collective punishment against the Cuban people & recognize this as a clear attempt at accelerating the genocidal US blockade.

By ‘buying a seat’ (suggested $100), you allow us to increase vital material support to Cuba while not consuming extremely limited resources to move aid across the island. This is not charity–this is an act of material solidarity in defense of Cuba’s right to self-determination & sovereignty–a nation with unwavering internationalism despite conditions imposed on them by 60+ years of US warfare.
