Vulnerability is to expose ourselves, which takes immense courage. If we share ourselves with in a safe environment with the right people it can be a sign of strength.

To have connection and intimacy we must take the risk of vulerability, otherwise we remain closed off and distant.

You are worthy of love, no matter the mess. The laundry pile may be piling high, dishes in the sink, bathroom hasn't been cleaned....that's okay, those things are not reflections of your worth. You will get to it, when you get to it. Maybe it is better for the messes to pile up so that you can be present with your family, spouse, or yourself.
