Wow, this is a pretty cool story. Family-owned Knoebels Three Ponds Golf Club has been a PGO Member for quite a while, even though their primary business is their amusement resort. Recently, Knoebels was ranked the #1 Amusement Park in the U.S. by Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards for 2026.

Very proud to have them as PGO Members… now we just need to pick a weekend to visit Knoebels!

Pennsylvania golf has been in the spotlight this week as Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square hosted the PGA Championship.

Several PGO members and board members had the opportunity to step away from the day-to-day operations of their courses and enjoy watching some of the world’s top golfers compete for the prestigious Wanamaker Trophy. Congratulations to Aaron Rai on capturing his first major championship title and taking home the Wanamaker Trophy.

Tyoga is the premiere golf course in Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Golf Digest has given this beautiful, scenic course four stars. Tyoga is located on Pine Creek Road, only two miles from the center of Historic Wellsboro. This course was designed by Edmund Ault, Ltd., and it uses the all-natural terrain to create some of the best views in the state. Tyoga is a serene, uncrowded course in the rolling Grand Canyon Country. It’s hard not to fall in love.

About Paxon Hollow:

Paxon Hollow Country Club is an affordable public golf course owned and operated by Marple Township. We are conveniently located just west of Philadelphia and only minutes from the airport. The club includes a classically designed 18 hole golf course, practice range, restaurant, and banquet facility. Paxon Hollow was formed as a private club over 90 years ago and has now become one of the most popular public golf courses in the Philadelphia area.

The golf course was designed and built during golf’s golden age of architecture and includes many of the design elements found at some of our exclusive private club neighbors. Due to these features the golf course plays much harder than the overall yardage would suggest. If you enjoy playing classic old style golf courses and like to reach the green in regulation, this is your kind of place.
