Let’s talk about puppies and seniors!

We have many clients that require special care including extra time to adjust or extra hands to help steady or support. We are careful to keep our babies calm and comfortable. Sometimes that can mean just a tidy up groom and a bath another day or the owner bathe at home. And that is okay! If the pup has a medical condition and starts to get upset or stressed we are quick to call it a day. Remember sometimes older babies can only handle so much before they need a nap again.
Puppies can get pushed to a point of fear. We like to take time and let them be a puppy and learn. A happy puppy is a thinking puppy. A haircut can be a good experience when treated the right way. Rushing and pushing can create an environment where there is fear and frustration. Sometimes an extra snuggle and belly rub time is all it takes for them to learn to trust and relax.
