A friend of mine had this machete given to him by his father and knew it needed some TLC. The handles were separating from the metal and the wooden sheath had a crack being held on with ductape. I removed the surface rust, repaired the split in the sheath, epoxied the handles back on, sharpened it, oiled it, and even gave the decorative hand guard some character by creating a face out of the existing shape.
