This week the world lost a remarkable musician, singer, songwriter, and human being. TJ Neveldine was a force of nature whom I had the pleasure of making two full-length albums with. When I first met TJ, I was put off by his high energy, high volume, and never-ending talking. But the more I got to know him, the more I realized that his energy was infectious, overwhelmingly positive, and truly a blessing. He was so full of life and love that it seeped out of him and filled up everyone in the room. I began to find myself looking forward to every session with him, and as we worked together more and more, we became friends. I learned to admire and respect him as a kind, generous and giving person, and was inspired by his positive attitude, his work ethic, and I was moved by his love for his family and for his music. And he was a hell of a singer and songwriter. Life is short and nothing is promised. Tell your family how much you love them, do your best to brighten someone’s life, and rock out to TJ’s band NeVeRSeeN in his honor. I think his own lyrics say it all..
“So many ways, to find love each day. ‘Cause when you live to love, you have everything.
All we have is an impermanence here, but a path to eternity. Your soul will carry on, if you let your heart lead.” ❤️
The world lost a true rocker today. I had the privilege of recording Nick Rockefeller and his bands since the very beginning of my recording days. My old band used to play gigs with his band all the time too. Anyone who knew Nick knew that not only was he a badass guitarist, he was genuinely one of the best people you will ever meet. His smiles, laughter and positive energy filled the studio for many years, not to mention his ripping guitar tones. I truly have never met anyone quite like him, and he will be deeply missed. Nick deserved more time, but he made the most of the time he had, and he made a strong impression on me, and everyone who knew him. Nick loved sharing his gift with the world, if you ever need something heavy to bang your head to, check out some of his music from his bands, Seraph and Heavy Is The Head.
