Between November 2023 and April 2024, 15 students and 2 staff members from were fully certified in our STOP THE BLEED program.

After talking for some time, we were able to have STB as an article in the school program as an option for the students to take in order to graduate.

I want to say on behalf of the BWTG team, thank you to the for allowing us in to teach our children useful life skills.

One particular student in our last group was the only one to pass out of her group (not everyone that takes the class gets certified if you can’t demonstrate you know or can use the information) due to the fact she lost a family member to uncontrolled bleeding.

They need this too.

Critical thinking skills do not come quick. Nor do the results of critical thinking generally show the same way one may approach a “multiple choice” thought process.

They need to be planted.

The events that we train for in firearm training will not be black and white, multiple choice, or simply true or false. It will require extreme brain power, good judgement, and a sound mind. All of these things come first, before the reflexes, before the training.

If you can’t critically think your way out of a possibly deadly situation, you shouldn’t be carrying a gun into one.

But that’s just me.
