I guess it is time to write this post...

Sunday December 20th, 2020 will be my last day in business at The Bakers Hub. I will also be stopping all wholesale and custom orders indefinitely. Local Harvest will still carry my items through the end of the year.

Thankfully, nothing is wrong. The business has actually survived through COVID so far. I have had an amazing experience with this business for the past 3+ years. I left a full time salary job to pursue a specialty baking business in a start-up co-op. It was a huge risk but it was worth it. I am so grateful for the love and support I have received from my customers, fellow bakers, family and friends. But, through all this, I never fully stepped out of the behavioral health field. In June, I was offered a supervisor role at a substance abuse treatment center. In July, I accepted that role knowing that I would not be able to maintain both jobs for long. I absolutely love my job at the treatment center and I want and need to give it all my time and energy. You can do one thing great or you can do two things well. I have been in recovery for 7.5+ years and I would not have anything that I do today without my sobriety. Being able to work with others in early recovery is amazing and I love going to work everyday.

Is this goodbye forever? Knowing me, probably not. I will keep you all updated if I decide to reopen for customer orders or events.

***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT ORDERS FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS***

I am unable to fulfill any orders now through Friday 11/27. I have tested positive for COVID-19. I am asymptomatic. Because of the positive COVID result, I will be quarantining in my house until 11/27.

All items from the bakery storefront have been removed. I have refunded all orders through 11/27. If I remain asymptomatic, my tentative release date from quarantine is 11/27.

I know this will cause an inconvenience for some of my customers and I do apologize for that. I appreciate your understanding in this matter.
